Canoe press day A/W 2011

It's been a busy week, so bit of a late one....

During February this year I went and did an internship for Canoe, great bunch of people and a great range of clients! So it was a must for me to head down and see the new A/W Collections!

Last wednesday and Thursday (6th & 7th April) they held their A/W 2011 press day in the Vinyl Factory in Soho. Not only was there luscious weather but also alot of luscious new a/w collections! 

including,  Vans, Volcom, Sorel, Burton Snowboards, RAW POWER, FILA and plenty more. Recently joined are 'Rock My Vintage' -  One off vintage accessories and clothes, 'Jack stubs' - british scented candles and a brand new watch company called 'Wize and Ope'. 

Really wanted to get some of the Vans and Volcom A/W stuff up on the blog too, but hopefully get up to Canoe to get some pictures!

Burton's A/W is looking really cool, lots of amazing prints as usual and the womenswear selection is definetly getting bulkier! Woo

Sorel Spring/Summer 2011 Tivoli Rain Boots!

So Sorel have created these great 'alternative to wellies' style boots! 

Available in 4 great colours black, blue, red and yellow! 

Leather meaning sustainable and lasting. 

Sorel say they have taken the inspiration from bold retro styles of the 1960s and 1970s.

I think they make a great festival must! Waterproof, Colourful and there's nothing worse than debating whether its too hot to wear wellies or scruffy converse, well my opinion you can't go wrong with these bad boys!

I came to Canoe without a clue of PR. I new that I was inspired by all the brands here but not a clue to what I was going to be doing with them. The first week I was shit scared and felt like I was in everybody’s way, but most certainly over come this.

Such a chilled out but hard working bunch of people, they’ve totally inspired me good and proper. I’m sad for my departure but keen to come back and see whats new to the show room for a/w 11! The brands I’ve worked with in the company have motivated me throughout these 5 weeks and it’s been so awesome to work with them and to see their collections.

Such a rad work experience, would not have changed it for the actual world.

Goodbye Canoe!!  x
